My stay at The Best Western in Quincy was awful.
From the moment of check-in we waited 5 minutes or more to get service. When we came back to the front desk to try to get someone to possibly clean our room or move our room to the same room we PAID for. The only positive part of my experience was the kind front desk gentleman in the evening when I checked in. The room was extremely malodorous and the floors were dirty. The bathroom sink would fill up and drained poorly. There was a large group smoking out in the front of the building both when I checked in and checked out.
I found this quite odd. Great place to stay the night before flying out of Logan Airport for our fiftieth anniversary trip to Aruba. Had a nice dinner the evening before in the cozy restaurant. The early morning shuttle to Logan was much better than having to drive to the airport that morning and being able to leave our car there and getting a shuttle back from the airport when we returned was great.
Had a restaurant on premises a plus. Close to the Train stop. Picked us up at Airport. Old property but decent. Very helpful staff. We got a room with the view of river. Close to city and surrounding places to explore.
I had an amazing stay at the Adam's Inn. I was welcomed very professionally by Joe, the Front Office Manager who assisted me with the check-in process. I definitely recommend this property to anyone traveling through or visiting the Boston area.
Stayed 4 nights, checked out and left new shirt in closet. Mgrs would not call me back. Hotel had fruit flies in rooms, shower floor had hole in it, shower rod was broken. Said they were serving bagged breakfast, never was able to get one. Call Corp CS, did report, they weren't able to retreive shirt. Promised call from head of housekeeping 3 weeks ago.

Still has not called me. Will not ever stay at a Best Western again. Very disappointed that we paid the typical rate for a room, and we seemed to be the only true hotel guests in the building.
As paying guests, it felt very awkward being right there as they were conducting their business and going over client files. The s of individuals loitering in large groups and smoking outside were a cause for concern. We applaud BW for helping out during the pandemic, for sure. These people deserve to be safe and given help. Continuing to rent rooms to regular paying customers without disclosing their current clientele is double dipping and not ok.
Had we been advised, I seriously doubt we would have chosen to lodge our family of four in a makeshift shelter.
The location of the property is lovely, and should have been a nice stay, but these issues and the horrible plumbing leak that had been ignored for a long time in our room prevented it. The room smelled of urine and a musty smell. Overflowing trash in the hallways. We tried to get a drink at the bar and had to prove we were regular guests and not patients of whatever program they're running out of there.
I'm not upset that they're trying to help less fortunate people who are trying to reintegrate into society but, I'm upset that they don't tell people.
The room was clean enough but the smell was unpleasant. I was not happy with my recent stay at BW Adams inn. I understand we are in the middle of a pandemic, but certain things are unacceptable. I was home to see my father who is on end of life measures at Boston Medical.
Right from the first night when I arrived my king reservation had been changed to a queen. The next day I was switched to a king room after much back and forth with front desk who finally accommodated me. What id dint appreciate was that at 12pm sharp they were at the door requesting us to vacate the old room. This was unnecessary as my wife was packing to leave and quite frankly it scared her. The biggest issue was the maids not wearing face masks.
I first ed this when one got in the tiny elevator with me. I asked where her mask was and she said upstairs.

The next day my wife went to look for coffee because there was none and again encountered the same maid and confronted her about her mask. Again we reported this. All of this was exacerbated when I found out the hotel was acting as a relocation for shelter residents due to covid. I feel that I feel that customers should be made aware of this fact because of the safety concerns and potential increased covid threat, especially with maids not wearing masks. It all made sense when I saw the police cruiser sitting in the parking lot at night. The hotel in my mind has gone down hill, there was no breakfast, no ice, no coffee except decaf after the first day and generally shabby.
I understand the pandemic has strained resources, but they have also strained mine and I'm not sure why I had to pay full price for less than full service. It would be one thing if I felt safe, cleanliness was top notch but it wasn't. When we arrived to room, in the second floor, the corridor have a strong smell of marihuana. In the room we found a used sock in the chair, so we suposed that this room was no cleaned. Whe my wife opened the restroom door, a mouse exit and run quickly under bed.

I asked for another room, but the woman that attend front desk answer me that there are not more room like mine 2 queen beds ,but probably it was not true because I check on internet with my phone and more rooms are available. Stayed for weekend - in light of the present circumstances no excuse for the lack of cleanliness.
Garbage left in hallways - elevators - room was basically clean used my own disinfectant - carpets are dirty. I do not recommend. Steve S, Innkeeper at Best Western Adams Inn Quincy-Boston, responded to this review We apologize that you did not enjoy your stay and will take your feedback into consideration. I was so impressed with this hotel and Adams pub, very clean, staff wonderful will be coming back soon. We went for couples getaway. The pub was a added plus we sat outsideweather was perfect. I was looking forward to staying here near the Quincy Marina.
I arrived at to check in and was told the room was not ready and the desk clerk "had no idea" when it would be ready.
I checked again about twenty minutes later and got the same answer. I had to cancel the room and go elsewhere. I can't say anything else about the hotel because I've never stayed here. Our normal check in time is 3PM. The moment I walked in, I knew I couldn't stay.

There was a deafening, and I mean deafening, grinding sound coming from the bathroom. You couldn't hear each other speak it was so loud. I couldn't imagine anything less relaxing.
